The company that employed the drunk driver and owned the van failed to inquire into the driving history of the employee before hiring him. Had a background check been performed, it would have revealed the employee had previously been charged with driving while intoxicated. The company also did not have any policies or procedures in place regarding safe driving. Our client suffered significant injuries to his neck and back as a result of the collision.
