Joe Terry obtained a $1,000,000 policy limit settlement for a client that was attacked by a driver delivering a package to her home. The driver delivered the package and was returning to her van when the client appeared with her small dog to retrieve the package. The delivery driver, upset that the client’s small dog was in the yard, walked back and retrieved the package. As the client attempted to grab the package, the delivery driver began an unprovoked attack, striking the client’s head and face and ultimately knocking her unconscious. After ensuring that the client received the proper medical care, Mr. Terry filed suit against the driver as well as the delivery company and aggressively began his investigation. Mr. Terry got the corporate representative of the delivery company to testify under oath that their driver was at fault and violated company policy. After several more depositions were taken, the case settled at mediation for the insurance policy limits of $1,000,000.
